Welcome to a discussion about the Language of our Faith

Blessings and Peace,

This blog has been created as an open space for the members and friends of Community Church, and all those who wish to journey with us, to think together about the language of our faith.

Beginning January 3rd, and through the Season of Lent, each Sunday sermon will take up a word or concept that is essential to the Christian faith. The sermons can be found at www.ccbarrington.org (click on sermons). Then in the days between each sermon we will share our thoughts on and through this vehicle. I will post items for you to read and I welcome you to do the same. We will continue our conversation about the topic on the next Sunday during the 9:30 Adult Sunday School Classs.

The sermon for Sunday January 3rd is entitled The Language of Our Faith and it speaks from Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Mark 12:28-31 and II Timothy 2:15. After the sermon is delivered there will be more "grist for the mill" on this blog and then we will meet at church on the 10th in Sunday School to continue our discussion.

On the 1oth of January we will take up a new topic and begin our round of discussions again. Welcome everyone to what I pray will be a series of wonderful conversations and insights. And in this Season of Epiphany may God send us more insight, revelation and wonder to all who love and follow Him.

Yours in Fellowship with Christ
Pastor Zina
